SEASIDE I: SEA SAND AND STYLE
Sand, sweat, sea, sweet papers, ice cream, knotted handkerchiefs, glistening bodies, sand everywhere. Ian Roberts, guitarist/songwriter with The Lemons, who've just released their debut single 'My Favourite Band' on Race Records, captures the essence of an English summer. He also styles some distinctly hot fashions for September 81.
STEVE STRANGE IN NEW YORK
American fascination with the new London scene already evident from the reception given to Adam Ant and Spandau Ballet reached new heights when Steve Strange arrived at his New York party riding a camel John Swenson asks him how the trip went.
BIG SHOTS AT THE BAR
Some pretty odd cocktails are consumed in the nightclub underworld. Ace investigator Harry Cool flies in from Stateside and hits the trail of the most lethal concoctions of the moment.

EXILE STYLE
Stephen Linard has the rare distinction of winning acclaim for his clothes design both from established quarters (he was the undoubted star of this year's St Martin's degree show) and from the alternative fashion world He featured in the i-D spread of the special edition of NSNS way back in March and is now hot property much sought after by the fashion magazines. Graham K Smith feels the cloth, admires the cut and reveals the designer, Animal Magnet model the Emigre collection.

BIDDIE N EVE
The longest running show in town, and very probably the raciest in the race. Biddie and Eve, high camp and a spry vamp coupled in cabaret to produce myrth and merriment, 'Indescribable' is how they're usually described, but David Johnson scours his thesaurus in an effort to capture the joyous essence of such a singular pair.
