Next week we begin a guide to the 100 greatest cars of all time.
There have been many thousands of models since motoring began
in the 1890s. THE SUNDAY TIMES MAGAZINE has chosen the most
remarkable. Some are famous. Some are forgotten. All of them, in
some way, changed the face of motoring. The series will appear in
alphabetical order, from Alfa Romeo to Zis, and will be easy to col-
lect. It is not just for the motoring fanatics; anybody who has ever
owned a car will not want to miss this major series.
