This iconic shot of the Who first appeared on the cover of the 20th March 1966 issue of Observer magazine taken by Colin Jones in a hotel room near Manchester airport. The magazine was available for one day only as a supplement to the Sunday edition of The Observer newspaper. It includes an excellent 8 page article on the band entitled 'The Making of The Who' written by John Heilpern.

Excellent condition.

All items are professionally packed in high quality rigid all cardboard mailers. We do not use board backed paper envelopes. Magazines are placed in cellophane bags and then taped inside the mailer to keep it free from corners where damage can occur...
